How long does each therapy session take?
Each session lasts for approx 50 minutes with the exception of the smoking cessation, which is up to 2 hours.
I have had hypnotherapy before, but it didn't work. How do I know it'll work this time?
It's important to remember that the effectiveness of hypnotherapy can vary based on various factors, including the specific approach used, the compatibility between you and the therapist, and your readiness and openness to the process. While I can't guarantee specific outcomes, it might be helpful to consider a few points to increase the likelihood of success this time:
1. Compatibility: Finding a hypnotherapist with whom you feel comfortable and have good rapport can significantly impact the outcome. Take the time to research and choose a therapist who specialises in your area of concern and with whom you feel a sense of trust and connection.
2. Clear goals and communication: Clearly define your goals and discuss them openly with your hypnotherapist. By setting clear intentions and communicating your expectations, you can work together to align the hypnotherapy sessions with your specific needs.
3. Openness and readiness: Reflect on your readiness for change and your willingness to engage in the process. Hypnotherapy requires an active participation and open mindset. Being receptive to the suggestions and guidance provided during the sessions can enhance the likelihood of positive outcomes.
4. Patience and consistency: Hypnotherapy often requires multiple sessions to achieve lasting results. It's important to maintain patience and commit to attending the recommended number of sessions. Consistency and continuity can contribute to deeper and more sustainable changes.
Remember, hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and the success of the therapy relies on your active involvement and engagement. By taking these factors into consideration and working closely with a skilled and experienced hypnotherapist, you can increase the potential for positive results.
Will I be in control during my hypnotherapy session?
Yes, you will remain in control during a hypnotherapy session. Contrary to popular misconceptions, hypnosis does not involve surrendering control or being manipulated against your will. While in a hypnotic state, you are still aware of your surroundings and have the ability to make choices and decisions. The hypnotherapist serves as a guide, facilitating the process and providing suggestions to support your desired outcomes. However, you maintain ultimate control over your thoughts, actions, and the level of engagement throughout the session. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process that empowers you to tap into your own inner resources and make positive changes based on your own intentions and goals.
